Rythu Sangam Jai Kisan Movement
The farmers movement was started by Baddam Narsa Reddy in the year 1978 which was called as "Pacha Kanduva Udyamam".
For the first time in the history of farming community, the unorganised farming sector had been brought under one umbrella, which led to an organised force. The movement picked up fast and spread over to the districts especially with tremendous impact in Adilabad, Karimnagar and Medak Districts.
In 1979, he formed district farmers association(Rythu Sangam) and had become the founder of the same.
- The social evil of child marriages, which could not controlled by law was succesfully stopped to larger extent by farmers movement.
- Due to this movement, the "pattedhar passbooks" were issued to the farmers and the receipts were issued.
- To overcome the problem of low voltage, the organisation played a very important role in getting sanctioned a 130KV.
